A curated retail pop up

Featuring seven of New York’s top fashion brands to celebrate women-led designers.

Kes

A native of Kibbutz Afikim, Lia Kes grew up in an idealistic Israeli pioneering community in northern Israel. The idyllic landscape of orchards, plowed fields and nature at its best filled her childhood and day-to-day life on a kibbutz. This influenced Kes as a person and as a young designer. Kibbutz life required simple, practical clothing, and there was a raw, down-to-earth integrity to garments made at the communal sewing workshop known as the “matpera.” From the youngest to the oldest, the entire community was outfitted with the matpera’s simple, functional designs, which offered exceptional quality and a certain utilitarian charm.

Raquel Orozco

Mexican designer Raquel Orozco began her career in graphic design, where she learned to harness the power of vibrant colors, geometric shapes, and textures. As a fashion designer, she has tapped into this acute sense to build effortlessly elegant wardrobe staples for the modern woman. Founded in 2011, the brand takes a slow fashion approach through a commitment to reducing environmental impact, increased quality of garments, and improved life for artisans. Raquel Orozco is produced locally and supports craft communities in Mexico through formal training and community development.

Misette

Growing up, Misette co-founders and sisters Sarah Pecaut and Amy Burstyn Fritz’s grandmother told them the highest compliment bestowed upon any host would be about their beautifully set table. When the pandemic started changing their ways of working, the sisters were inspired to bring the curation and care of big-scale events into everyone’s homes, every day. In collaboration with Leslie Hamilton, Misette creates artistic dinnerware and décor that belongs out on your table.

SOUCY offers two distinct propositions both anchored in a detailed observation of urban contemporary behavior and the understanding of women’s physical and emotional needs.

Lavi NYC

In the Fall of 2016, Lavi NYC was launched. A family brand of brothers thought to create an imprint that encapsulates Uptown New York. Born & raised in the Bronx, we found ourselves immersed in Fashion. Our father was heavily involved in show business & worked at the now-closed Black Fashion Museum in Harlem. Being exposed to design at an early age & seeing the void of brands that speak to the real essence of New York, we decided to create a world of garments to tell the stories of our lives.
